Erik’s Story:
Goodwill enhances the dignity and quality of life of individuals and families by eliminating barriers to opportunity and helping people reach their full potential through learning and the power of work. This couldn’t be more true when it comes to Erik’s story.
Erik has worked in the Supported Employment Program at Goodwill in McHenry for over 10 years. Goodwill recently got Erik a new walker. Because of this walker, Erik can now perform his job more efficiently.
“I don’t fear falling anymore while at work now,” Erik says. “Plus, I get around easier and faster, which ultimately makes me better at my job. I’m so thankful for this new walker.”
Goodwill’s Supported Employment Program gives adults with disabilities the opportunity to work and earn valuable skills and wages through effective ongoing support services.
