Oscar enrolled in Goodwill’s LifeLaunch program after seeing an advertisement on Facebook. He was recently placed on probation and realized how hard it is it get a job when you have any involvement with the judicial system.

He attended LifeLaunch’s one-day forklift training class, as well as the six-week welding training courses. Shortly after completion of both trainings, he obtained a manufacturing job operating a metal bending machine.

Oscar called the program the day before his start date at his new job, as he found out he needed some steel-toe boots for work. The LifeLaunch team was able to quickly assist him in getting the boots required for his new position. Oscar is now thriving, making a living wage, and maintaining a positive outlook on life. He’s currently saving up to buy himself a car so that he can get to and from work on his own.
