Young Adult Programs
LifeLaunch Program
If you are between 18 and 24 years of age, have dropped out of school or have been involved with the legal system, live in the Rockford area, and you want to work toward a better future, Goodwill can help you.
Program components includes: career readiness, support services such as help with housing and transportation, workshops with PAID incentives, and more!
Ready to take the first step? Attend one of our information sessions – no appointment is needed, the public is welcome to attend! Information sessions are held every Tuesday at 10:00 am at Goodwill’s Mission Services Building – 850 N. Church Street, Rockford.

Goodwill® LifeLaunch: Ignite Reentry Program The Goodwill® LifeLaunch: Ignite Reentry Program is made possible with a $4.5 million grant award, covering 93 percent of operating costs, from the U.S. Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration. Goodwill is contributing leveraged funding valued at $324,762 to cover the remaining 7 percent of operational costs.
Accelerate Program
Get no-cost training and career opportunities in two different career pathways – In transportation, distribution and logistics, or in healthcare industries.
Specific trainings include:
- Warehousing 101
- Commercial Drivers License – Class A (CDL)
- Pharmacy Technician
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
If you are between 18 and 24 years of age, live in Winnebago County, and either currently are not enrolled in school, have been involved with the justice system, or are pregnant or parenting, and are wanting to get on track with your life and better your future, come to our Information Session every Tuesday at 10AM at Goodwill’s Mission Services Building – 850 N. Church Street, Rockford

Re-Entry Peer Navigators
Goodwill’s Re-entry Peer Navigators assist individuals who are just re-entering the community, or need a little help connecting to resources. This could include connecting to new skills, transportation supports, training, employment, and more! And services are done hand-in-hand with Goodwill’s Peer Navigators, who understand the challenges you face and can provide assistance.
If you are 18+ years old, have legal system involvement, and live in Winnebago County, you could be eligible for free services.

Pathway Home Program
Goodwill’s Pathway Home program assists individuals making the transition from incarceration to community living. Services are provided both inside the Winnebago County Jail, and in the community.
Through this program, we can help make the re-entry process a little easier. We help individuals create a re-entry plan, access resources, and connect to training, employment and support.
Individuals must enroll while in facility at the Winnebago County Jail in Rockford, IL.
