GOODWILL INDUSTRIES OF NORTHERN ILLINOIS AWARDED THREE-YEAR CARF ACCREDITATION
This is Goodwill’s second continuous three-year accreditation
CARF International announced that Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois has been accredited for another three years for its employment programs.
The accreditation decision represents the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to an organization and shows the organization’s substantial conformance to the CARF standards. An organization receiving a three-year accreditation has put itself through a rigorous peer review process and has demonstrated to a team of surveyors during on-site visits that its programs and services are of the highest quality, measurable and accountable.
As one of the CARF surveyors noted, “The services offered are complemented by the caring and supportive approach that staff members utilize. Interviews with participants and families individuated that participation in services has offered great opportunities for personal growth and development”.
Goodwill Industries of Northern Illinois is a community based not-for-profit whose mission is to create opportunities for individuals with barriers to enhance their lives by funding job training programs and employment placement services through revenue generated by Goodwill retail stores.
“We are so proud of the three-year CARF accreditation and the high quality of work Goodwill’s staff do every day to serve our communities. The recognition of Goodwill’s person-centered services that help participants obtain training and employment is important to us and we are committed to continuing this level of excellence in all our programs,” stated Goodwill Director of Mission Services, Courtney Geiger.
CARF is an international, nonprofit accreditor founded in 1966 that sets standards of excellence for human service organizations to measure and improve the quality of their programs and services. For more information about the accreditation process, visit the CARF website at www.carf.org.
