VOLUNTEER INCOME TAX ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Goodwill prepares taxes for no charge during the filing season (January to April). Site locations and hours of operation will be posted each December.
Goodwill offers summer tax help in June and July at the Mission Services Center in Rockford. To make an appointment, please call (815) 494-2936.
The dates for summer tax help are:
- Monday, June 4th and 18th: 8am to 4pm
- Monday, July 2nd and 16th: 8am to 4pm
Summer tax help includes:
- Amended returns for 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011. We can prepare amended returns if the tax return was originally prepared at one of our tax sites.
- Tax return preparation for 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2011
- Tax clinic: if you have received a CP 2000 notice from the IRS, we can help through a partnership with Prairie State Legal Services Low Income Tax Clinic. For more information on this notice, CLICK HERE
